What we do

Three trades, one standard.

Every job gets the same prep, the same quality of product and the same clean-up — whether it's a nursery, a center-hall colonial or a weathered deck.

GP-330 · Bryn Mawr Slate

Exterior Painting

Siding, trim, doors, shutters and porches — finished to stand up to Pennsylvania weather.

Weather decides how long exterior paint lasts. We start with a pressure wash and full surface prep, then recommend the best-quality paint your budget allows. Better paint costs a little more per gallon and returns far more in years between repaints.

  • Free exterior inspection
  • Pressure washing included in prep
  • Wood repairs before paint
GP-101 · Wynnewood Cream

Interior Painting

Walls, ceilings, trim and nurseries — clean lines and a house that stays livable while we work.

Interior paint has to hold up to scrubbing, last for years and resist mold and mildew — especially in winter, when the house is closed up. We help you choose a product that performs, then work carefully around your home and keep every room clean.

  • Washable, mildew-resistant finishes
  • Respectful of your home
  • Daily clean-up

Pressure Washing

Siding, decks and exterior surfaces brought back — on its own or as step one of a repaint.

Pressure washing is how every exterior job starts, and it's also a service on its own. We restore decks and refresh siding and hardscape so the next coat of stain or paint actually bonds.

  • Deck restoration & refinishing
  • Siding & exterior surfaces
  • Prep for stain or paint

Repairs & finishing work, handled in‑house.

Paint only looks as good as the surface under it. When a project needs more than paint, we take care of it — so you aren't juggling a second contractor.

  • Wallcovering removal
  • Plaster repairs
  • Masonry & stucco repairs
  • Drywall installation
  • Exterior wood repairs
  • Crown molding & wainscoting
  • Deck installation & refinishing
  • Shutter installation & repair
  • Door & window repair and installation
  • Cabinetry installation
  • Light carpentry

How we work

The work you don't see is why it lasts.

Up to three-quarters of a quality paint job is preparation. It's the part most painters rush — and the reason we can stand behind ours for three years.

“Preparation on the job is one reason why I stand behind our work and feel comfortable offering my clients a 3-year warranty.”

  1. 01

    Inspect & estimate

We walk the property, look at every surface and give you a clear, free estimate — no pressure, no surprises.

  2. 02

    Wash & repair

Exterior surfaces are pressure washed. Damaged wood, plaster and stucco are repaired before any paint is opened.

  3. 03

    Prep every surface

We putty, caulk, sand and clean. Joints are caulked and sanded smooth so paint cracks don't show up a season later.

  4. 04

    Paint, clean, guarantee

Quality products, careful application, a clean site every day — and a 3-year warranty on the finished work.

Questions

Before you call.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. We'll inspect the exterior (or walk the rooms you want painted) and give you a clear price at no cost and with no obligation.

What does your 3-year warranty cover?

Gorman Painting guarantees its workmanship for three years. It's a warranty we can offer because of the time we put into preparation before any paint goes on. Ask Marty for the full terms with your estimate.

Are you insured?

Yes — Gorman Painting is fully insured, with a $2,000,000 liability policy in place for your protection.

Will you take on a small job?

Absolutely. One room, a front door, a deck — no job is too big or too small.

Why does preparation take so long?

Up to 75% of a quality paint job is preparation: washing, scraping, puttying, caulking, sanding and cleaning. It's what makes paint adhere and last. Skipping it is how cheap paint jobs fail early.

Can you handle repairs before painting?

Yes. We regularly take care of plaster, stucco and masonry repairs, exterior wood replacement, drywall, trim and shutters so the project is finished properly, without a second contractor.
